So, it looks like there's a vacuum where someone could launch a new community like Stopdrinking, and January is a great time for that because activity is high now.

And one idea to make R_stopdrinking successful: include a recurring post that invites people to share their nonalcoholic recipes. People like recipes, and those appeal for a lot of reasons (e.g. sober, pregnant, kids at party, incompatible meds) thus can have a very wide audience. Also worth a thought is sharing sources for nonalcoholic versions of things that are usually alcoholic, like glycerin-based extracts (the standard kind use alcohol).
